JDM Heaven in the Irish Countryside
Back in April, I took a trip down to visit my good friend Mick and his brothers at their farm. Anyone who knows these lads knows they’ve built one of the craziest private JDM collections in Ireland — it’s not just a few nice cars, it’s full-on Nissan Silvias, Toyotas, and loads of rare gems scattered around the yard like a real-life car enthusiast’s dream.
The shed itself is a bit of a legend in its own right. Inside you’ll find everything from pristine Silvia S13s and S14s, to some heavily modified builds, daily drivers, and a few secret projects tucked away. The brothers, along with their partners, have spent years building, restoring, and collecting — and it shows. Every car in there has a story, whether it's a fresh import, a full ground-up rebuild, or a drift missile that’s seen its fair share of action.
As golden hour approached, we pulled a few of the cars out into the yard to grab some clips. The light was perfect — low sun, long shadows, and just enough glow to make the paint pop on every panel. Seeing all those cars lined up together, out in the open, with the Irish countryside in the background… you really get a sense of just how special this collection is. I think I’ve really found a love of the juxtaposition between the rural and rugged Irish countryside and the sleek, 90s prowess of Japanese metal.
We wrapped up the evening with a quick run down to the river at St. Mullins. The sunset over the river was unreal. We lined up the cars along the edge of the water and shot some cinematic clips as the light faded — calm water, vibrant skies, and a row of iconic JDM legends sitting quietly as if waiting for the next adventure.
It had been a long time since I’d seen Mick but everytime we chat I’m reminded how strong the car culture is here in Ireland. It's not about big fancy shows or huge Instagram followings — it's about passion, community, and building something with your own hands. The Silvia scene here is alive and well, and it's people like Mick, his brothers, and their partners that keep it thriving.
Stay tuned for the full video — this one's packed with JDM goodness, cinematic 4K shots, and some of Ireland’s best-kept car secrets.
